Spinning the Wheel of Fortune

There are a myriad of companies offering get rich schemes. From investment plans to positive motivation to Life Coaching, its all out there but it comes at a price. Some people take the self help route, they read "The Secret", perhaps view "What the Bleep do we Know", some enroll in many courses which promise to lead them towards success.

For some people a lecture or a book or some message gleaned in the course of their lives can change their lives in a positive way. For some the positive changes remain, for others they are fleeting and life seems to revert it its old pattern. It is easy to feel despondent at times and to lose faith until the next motivation route comes along.

What is the answer?

Perhaps there are as many answers as there are people on the planet but most of us will agree there is such a thing as The Law of Attraction but how do we make it work for us?

In my article The Astrology of Abundance I mentioned the word fate. I said that some of us are fated to experience certain things, some people have and some do not. It is written in the astrology chart, cast for the moment of our birth, what will beset us in life, how life will create certain situations and experiences for us and how we will respond to them. This component of our life is predicable and so it is apparent we are fated and thus free will does not appear to allow us to change our circumstances.

Or does it?

My field of astrology is primarily Medieval Astrology which dates 750 AD to 1500 AD or thereabouts but it has its roots even further back in time. Medieval Astrology concerns itself with immutable man (for the politically correct the term man includes women).

The immutable (not subject or susceptible to change) "being" is the essence or soul and this soul is not separate from the physical or embodied person on his or her terrestrial or earthly journey.

It is a package deal, The Soul, The Body, traveling together on an adventure here on earth. The earth plane is the physical one, concerning itself with the material needs of the package deal. The spiritual plane concerns itself with higher things which are not material in nature, or this is what we have been led to believe.

It is this perception of disassociation that creates the gap between our desire for material abundance and the reality of our actual existence. In order to succeed in life and become whole we need to have an alignment between the physical and spiritual being, it must be at one accord.

For many this concept is difficult to accept, spiritual matters have no business with material ones a vice versa but the journey of the soul is not separate from the body and so, there needs to be an alliance and agreement. We need to develop a higher understanding of both the spiritual and material worlds.

This is not as difficult as it seems but let us first explore how we humans try to evoke The Laws of Attraction. We are encouraged to think big and not let anyone sway us from our aims. We are taught to visualise what it is we materially strive for and live as if we have it already.

In working this way we involve our mental "being" the power of the mind is indeed an important factor in living a wholesome and abundant life. However, as with most things we have layers of the mental being.

The conscious mind is the area which mentally calls for what we desire. We have the subconscious which is a whole other ball game and usually not on the same page (and sometimes not even in the same book) as the conscious mind. The sub-conscious mind has gathered facts and impressions for years and turned them into the basis of our beliefs which can underlie many or our habits and actions in life. Often it is the sub-conscious mind which creates self-sabotaging behaviour patterns which we find difficult to understand. Patterns which recur over and over bringing us back to where we began, patterns which often deny us the success we strive for.

In addition to the conscious and sub-conscious mind we also possess an unconscious mind and who knows what is lurking beneath the surface. Only through deep meditation and soul searching do we tap into this area of ourselves. Hypnosis is another way to delve deeper but sometimes we can know what is in there or discover it and be unable to integrate our beings to a level where personal harmony can exist in a fairly consistent way.

Sigmund Frued also speaks of the super-conscious and, so it seems, we have multi layers to our mental processes and these things are all important factors in how we respond to life and how it responds to us.

Add to this the emotional self and you have a veritable cast of thousands all vying for something within us. All these things will influence what we receive in life, what kind of experiences we have and how we can better our circumstances to become winners, not just materially but spiritually as well..

Conscious, sub-conscious, unconscious, super-conscious, emotional, physical and spiritual. No wonder we struggle sometimes with all these things vying for attention, sometimes without our even knowing it.

Imagine if the soul had multi levels too. What would this mean and how would we respond to such a thing? How do we integrate all these parts of ourselves so that we cruise through life instead of bumping over the obstacles that life seems to put in our way. Some people say we create these obstacles. How? Why? What can we do about it?

It is true, the soul has more than one level, it may have a higher level and a lower one, a bridge, as it were, between out spiritual selves who do not need material comfort such as food and shelter and our physical selves, the lower part of our vibration.

It is the lower soul that responds to astrology and follows the patterns as shown in our birth charts.

Whilst the material world espouses thinking positively, invoking the mind to control our lives and bring us what we need, it is the spiritual world which will deliver such riches, the connection to our higher selves is as important as connection to friends and family. Some say meditation is the key to this connection and they are right but there are many ways in which we can connect and integrate.

First we have to know what it is we do and why. In medieval astrology there is a planet known as the Almuten Figuris, the winner or dominator of the figure (another name for the natal chart). This planet shows something that we love but this love may not be a positive love. Perhaps the word love is not quite correct and something has been lost in translation. Whatever this love is it is preventing us from reaching our higher selves and integrating.

If one understands this love and comes to see it in action, understanding how this love influences our lives and creates the patterns we feel trapped by, if we can understand why we have this love and come to a natural completion in our understanding then we are in a position to "give it up" and thus escape the fate that is written in our birth charts.

This Almuten figuris is the ultimate in spiritual connection. We have a Peculiar Daemon, an angel assigned only to us. This angel is said to sit between us and what we call God. This angel is our connection to the divine and to the source of

"Infinite Intelligence"

The source of what we are seeking in life, the source of everything.

What lofty beings we would be if we were connected permanently to "The Source" This is the Secret to The Secret.

It is necessary to have a positive attitude and it is necessary to believe that we can have what we want but we do have to deal with a myriad of things. Despite this, getting connected is not as difficult as you think.

There are other ways, meditation is one key but again, many people practice it, few realise their dreams. I believe we need to have knowledge of the different levels or our being and this can be achieved through astrology.

However, it is not enough to be told what the issues are. There is a need to develop personal understanding and often you cannot do this alone. This is why people attend seminars and courses seeking answers to the meaning of their lives. I believe it is essential that you develop a complete and natural understanding of the multi layers of your being but you must also not think that this is a difficult task. Life can be easy, you simply have to know how to make it so.

There are many paths to enlightenment and rest assured that enlightenment is required if the Wheel of Fortune is to spin your way and do so without great labour. Some do not believe that wealth or abundance of any sort received without effort is real, valid or even possible but they would be wrong.

The path to enlightenment needs to have a component which helps you to know yourself, to understand why you do what you do and what is in the deep recesses of your mind and it must contain some kind of path to the higher self. No one component will do that, it is a process, one thing leads to another but it is essential that there is come kind of invocation that goes beyond the mental calling for riches.

I have worked with people and watched some grow and thrive. Not all paths are for everyone, but it is good to see those who "get it" grow instantly into a happier healthier human beings. The focus is not on the "stuff" of our desires but what is inside, there is a need to ignite the fire of passion that burns with desire and connect it to the source of all things.

To Spin the Wheel and keep it spinning requires some work but not a lot. An open mind and willingness to look into the recesses of self will help you on your journey. The reason that Astrology is mentioned in the title of this web page along with transcendental meditation and life coaching is because it has been a fairly integrated path for me and for others who have consulted me in the past. Once you have the source there is no need for refresher courses, it is your core and yours to tap into freely whenever you want. Life will not always spin your way but it will spin often enough to make it infinitely more of a joy than a hindrance and you will learn how to respond to life in such a way that you never lose your path for long..

The Laws of Attraction are easy to invoke if only you have a burning desire to know how.
